Eddy Ospina is a first generation American born in Queens, New York to Colombian parents in the mid-seventies. He grew up in Pasadena, California until he and his family made their home in Miami, Florida in the mid-eighties. Growing up Eddy was always interested in drawing whether it was on the walls with crayons as a young child or later migrating to basic paper and pencil as an adolescent. Eddy’s interest in tattoos started at a young age after moving to Miami where many of the local residents had plenty of tattoos to show off and spark Eddy’s artistic imagination even further. It wasn’t until Eddy was in his early twenties and got his first tattoo that he wanted to persue a career in the industry. He sought out an apprenticeship shortly after getting his first tattoo and received an opportunity at Tattoo Circus under Emerson Forth. After eight years of working with Emerson, Eddy then made his way up and down the East Coast working at various tattoo shops such as, Port City Tattoo Co., NYHC Tattoo, Fat Cat Tattoos NYC and Inksmith & Rogers. Currently, Eddy works at Wooster Street Social Cub also known as the home of New York Ink.
